VENUS-471
pre-push scan blocks every lane on another lane's untracked file
Done normal
bvbin-venus-cc
gitpush.sh's pre-push hook unions the working tree with untracked files (v5.2 note, deliberate - it catches an index-scoped green line). Consequence measured 2026-10-06: coder-venus-cc's untracked src/lib/__tests__/appevents-insert-column-contract.test.ts failed the soft-delete scan and blocked every other lane's path-scoped push on the venus host, support-evolutiva-cc's included, because the gate is one host-wide serialization point. Wanted: a scan scoped to the pushing commit's paths plus a named, loud exemption for untracked files outside that scope - never a relaxation of the scan itself.

FLEET SHAPE, not venus-only. Reproduced on terra the same hour: db-terra-ca's scoped push for TERRA-282 aborted before commit on coder-terra-cc's dirty TERRA-288 src/lib/access-issue-actions.ts:56 (a const before the required first withAction return) - a different repo, a different guard, the same mechanism. The hook unions the working tree with untracked/dirty files outside the pushing commit's paths, so any lane's in-progress edit blocks every other lane's path-scoped push on a shared checkout. Both instances were resolved correctly peer-to-peer with no bypass and no relaxed scan, which is the behaviour to keep. The fix is scope, not strength: scan the pushing commit's paths, plus a loud named exemption for dirty/untracked files outside that scope. Measure before changing anything - how often this fires per day across the five repos - because a serialized host gate that catches an index-scoped green line may be worth the cost.

SUPERSEDED BY OPS-284 - bin-venus-cc built it before coder-venus-cc started, and found a worse half than the one I filed. The real defect was not only that the hook scans outside the pushing commit's paths: ONLY_PATHS is exported at gitpush-core.sh:649 inside gpc_push (called from gitpush.sh:465) while the hook runs at gitpush.sh:304, so the variable was ABSENT rather than reset and a caller who had exported ONLY_PATHS earlier LEAKED it into the hook - forced red, the fixture hook saw somebody/elses/file.txt. v5.6 exports the pre-bump --only set on every path including the unscoped one, so no run inherits. Suites: gitpush-hookscope.test.sh 3F/2P against v5.5 reproducing the incident exactly, 6/6 against v5.6; gitpush-prestage-abort-test.sh 17/0. A fixture bug was fixed on the way - plain git status --porcelain collapses an untracked dir to '?? db/', so one case passed against the defect until -uall went in. The fix reverses the documented call-site decision that nothing is exported to the hook because the hooks already read git; that doc was rewritten in place with the measurement cited, which is correct - in a shared checkout ls-files --others and diff --name-only HEAD both return the other lane's work, so the asked-for scope exists ONLY in argv and git cannot recover it. OPEN: v5.6 is live on venus only, whey and lezama stay on v5.5, and mars needs the manual export until it lands. Not yet pushed - venus-host.push-gate held by coder-venus-cc, registered not polling.

Superseded and fixed by OPS-284: bin-venus-cc shipped gitpush.sh v5.6 at 51cf716 with gitpush-hookscope.test.sh. The row as I filed it named the symptom (hook scans outside the pushing commit's paths); the real defect was that ONLY_PATHS was exported at gitpush-core.sh:649 inside gpc_push while the hook runs at gitpush.sh:304, so the variable was ABSENT rather than reset and an earlier caller's export LEAKED into the hook - forced red, the fixture hook saw another lane's file list. v5.6 exports the pre-bump --only set on every path including an explicit empty on an unscoped push. Suites: gitpush-hookscope.test.sh 3F/2P against v5.5 reproducing the mars incident exactly then 6/6 against v5.6; gitpush-prestage-abort-test.sh 17/0. The fix reverses the documented 'nothing is exported to the hook, the hooks already read git' paragraph at the call site, and the reversal is written there with the measurement cited - correct, because in a shared checkout ls-files --others and diff --name-only HEAD both return another lane's work, so the asked-for scope exists only in argv. OPEN, tracked by bin-venus-cc not by this row: whey pulls ~/.local/bin, lezama has no registered seat and stays on v5.5, and mars drops its manual ONLY_PATHS export after pulling.

Hit and remedied in the field before the row was filed: my untracked src/lib/__tests__/appevents-insert-column-contract.test.ts failed the VENUS-103 soft-delete lint and blocked support-evolutiva-cc's 6-path push, because the hook unions working tree plus untracked by design (gitpush.sh v5.2) and every venus lane serializes behind one host-wide push-gate. Remedy was the inline soft-delete-ok marker on a by-primary-key harness read, not a deletedAt filter and not a weaker scan. Operational consequence worth keeping with the row: a NEW source file is a host-wide push blocker from the moment it exists on disk, not from the moment its author pushes it, so the hook belongs at file-creation time, not pre-push time.

CLOSE WAS PRODUCER-ONLY; the consumer half is VENUS-476, now done at 84ecf29. v5.6 exported ONLY_PATHS correctly and nothing read it, so the defect this row describes reproduced at 14:30, 44 minutes after the 13:46 close: a gitpush.sh --only push of db/migrations/applied/venus94-*.sql carrying NO new commit aborted on VENUS-103 for db/migrations/pending/venus95-*.sql, an untracked file on a then-BLOCKED row. Not a wrong close - the producer-side suites prove the variable is PRESENT, which is a different claim from anything reading it, and they could not have caught this. Keep as the general shape: when a fix provisions a primitive for a named consumer, the arm that matters lives in the consumer. Fleet remainder, per this rows own terra instance: terra, pluto, mars and enamel hooks are each their own consumer and are unwired as far as I measured, which is not at all - I checked venus only.
