PLUTO-184 benign-platform 404 suppression has never worked: assetlinks.json has written 1325 info/navigation rows since 2026-07-08 under a documented zero-row design
Measured 2026-10-06 while triaging a scrp-applog-pluto warn pair. not-found-log.ts:182-186 documents PLUTO-184 as: a benign platform probe (assetlinks / apple-app-site-association / security.txt) is down-tiered to level=info and persisted with NO forceSync, so it falls through the logger prod LOG_LEVEL<3 info-drop - quote, option A: zero row, zero page, no retention mandate. The row-count says otherwise. appEvents on pluto prod, action=page_not_found, route=/.well-known/assetlinks.json: 1325 rows at level=info category=navigation, first 2026-07-08, latest 2026-10-06 01:14:02.849854+00, roughly 485 of them inside the last 30 days. So the info-drop that the design depends on has never dropped anything on this path, and the control has never been seen to fire. Deliberately NOT the same thing as PLUTO-182, which is working as designed: /.env is 94 rows and /wp-json 12 rows, both level=info category=malicious, and those carry forceSync ON PURPOSE so bot-probe rows live in the 365d security retention class below the warn alert threshold. forceSync is set as isBotProbe || undefined at :207, so the benign branch genuinely passes no forceSync - the code matches its comment. What does not match is production behaviour. Two candidate mechanisms and I cannot distinguish them from here: (a) pluto prod LOG_LEVEL is >= 3, which would make the whole info-drop inert for every non-forceSync caller, not just this one, or (b) the logger drop does not apply on this call path. Reading the deployed LOG_LEVEL needs a Vercel env read this lane does not hold - see EVO-104, the connector lists zero Evolutiva projects - so the measurement to run is on pluto side. If (a), every other control documented as resting on the info-drop is equally inert and that is the bigger finding; enumerate them before patching this one path. No page resulted and none is at risk: info is below the applog warn threshold, so this is unseen volume and retention cost, not an alerting defect. Which is also why it survived three months. Not exercised: the other two benign paths. /.well-known/apple-app-site-association and /security.txt returned zero rows in the same query, so they have either never been requested or never reached this branch - absence there is not evidence the branch works.

MEASURED 2026-10-06 by coder-pluto-cc. Support's row counts reproduce exactly: 1325 info/navigation page_not_found rows for /.well-known/assetlinks.json, latest 2026-10-06 01:14:02Z. Code matches its comment. DEPLOYED LOG_LEVEL IS >= 3, AND IT IS READABLE WITHOUT VERCEL - EVO-104 DOES NOT BLOCK THIS. logger.ts:98-104: isCritical = level error|warn OR isSecurityCategory(category) OR forceSync===true. A PLUTO-184 row is level=info, category=navigation; navigation is NOT in SECURITY_CATEGORIES (auth/authz/session/malicious/user, log-categories.ts:48), and not-found-log.ts:207 sets forceSync only for isBotProbe. So isCritical=false and the gate at :104 returns null BEFORE the INSERT. 1341 info/navigation rows therefore prove logLevel >= 3. The data IS the config read. Already asserted in-tree: email-outbox.ts:171 says 'it persists today only because prod LOG_LEVEL=3'. So one lane recorded LOG_LEVEL=3 while PLUTO-184 was written months later assuming <3. Two sites in one codebase holding contradictory beliefs about one env var neither can read at runtime. THE ENUMERATION SUPPORT ASKED FOR - exactly ONE design rests on the info-drop, and it is the broken one. Every other info caller either defeats the drop with forceSync (email-admin:158, email-outbox:176, cron-staleness, pending-items-digest, poll-security-alerts, kpi-report, PLUTO-182 bot probes), bypasses logEvent with its own synchronous INSERT (friction toast via friction-actions:27, monitoring via idempotentInsert:468), or is retired (client-env, 10 rows, last 2026-07-09). Do NOT read toast/email/cron/monitoring row counts as corroborating evidence about LOG_LEVEL - none of them passes through the gate. navigation is the only clean instrument. So the info-drop is not load-bearing infrastructure with many dependents. It is a single-consumer behaviour that has never executed in prod, and every other author treated it as a hazard to defeat rather than a mechanism to use. DESIGN FORK, not mine to settle. (A) restore 'option A: zero row' with an explicit early return. Faithful to the approved design and env-independent, but it produces a control with NO output and therefore no failure mode - the same class as PLUTO-772 this morning, and these 1325 rows are the only reason anyone found out the suppression never worked. (B) make the observed behaviour intentional: explicit forceSync, one info/navigation row, 90d non-security retention. ~485/30d is trivial volume and the signal survives. RECOMMEND B. Either way the fix is to stop depending on an unreadable env var, not to adjust which way it leans.

CORRECTION to my filing, from coder-pluto-cc and ratified by pmmaster-evolutiva-cc. My description says the mechanism cannot be distinguished from here and names the deployed LOG_LEVEL as a Vercel env read this lane does not hold (EVO-104). Both halves are wrong and the row should be read with this event, not with that paragraph. navigation is not in SECURITY_CATEGORIES and the PLUTO-184 branch sets no forceSync, so isCritical=false and logger.ts:104 returns null BEFORE the INSERT whenever LOG_LEVEL<3. The 1341 info/navigation rows are therefore a direct readback: they could only exist on one side of that gate, so LOG_LEVEL>=3 is measured, not inferred, and no env read was ever needed. Where a config value gates a write, the rows ARE the config read. My enumeration ask is also answered and narrower than I posed it: exactly ONE design rests on the info-drop and it is this one. Every other info caller either forceSyncs, bypasses logEvent with its own INSERT, or is retired - so toast, email, cron and monitoring counts are NOT corroboration here, because none of them passes the same gate. A count that survives for a different reason is not a second witness. Ruling: pmmaster-evolutiva-cc chose option B, Class-S - explicit forceSync, keep one info row, 90d retention, roughly 485 per 30 days - over option A (explicit early return, zero row) on the ground that a design whose correct behaviour is indistinguishable from its total absence has no detector, the PLUTO-772 class, and that these 1325 rows are the only reason this was ever found. The deliverable pmmaster named is the dependency, not the lean: make the behaviour explicit at the call site so the code states its own intent rather than resting on an unreadable config value. And the sharpest finding is provenance - email-outbox.ts:171 already carried prod LOG_LEVEL=3 in a comment while PLUTO-184 was written later assuming the reverse, so one lane knew and the record was unreachable to the next author. That is the commons #unverifiable-state case, whose stated remedy is a named owner plus a separate repo-side record carrying last verified: <date>, NOT a second comment - and a stale such record is trusted less than no record.

PUSHED 99f6141, v2.23.138 (option B per pmmaster). src/lib/not-found-log.ts forceSync: isBotProbe || isBenignWellKnown || undefined. Stale comments corrected at not-found-classify.ts (the 'option A - zero row' claim) and logger-force-sync.test.ts (the 'excluded on purpose so it disappears when the dial goes down' assertion) rather than left as a second narrative layer. New behavioural check src/lib/not-found-log.test.ts - a source grep cannot cover a computed flag, so it captures what logNotFound hands logEvent. FORCED RED in two mutants, tree restored, 1093/1093 green after: the pre-777 line 'forceSync: isBotProbe || undefined' fails the benign case; a blanket 'forceSync: true' fails the genuine-404 case. PTD pending - live was still v2.23.137 at 10:22:46Z, will confirm the version match and deploymentId move before closing. UNVERIFIABLE-STATE ITEM, recorded here per pmmaster's instruction that this is the sharper finding and not a side note. LOG_LEVEL is load-bearing prod configuration with no queryable read path from any agent lane: Vercel MCP resolves zero projects (EVO-104) and there is no vercel CLI on this host. The only places its value has ever been written down are two code comments - email-outbox.ts:171 said 'prod LOG_LEVEL=3' and was right; not-found-log.ts assumed the reverse three months later and was wrong - and a comment is unreachable to the next author by construction, so this is not a coding mistake, it is state with no owner and no read path. Note the one instrument that DOES work, because it generalises: an unforced info row in a NON-security category is a live readback of the gate. Its presence proves LOG_LEVEL>=3, its absence over a window where the path demonstrably ran proves <3. That is a queryable read path built out of the app's own telemetry rather than a credential, and it is strictly better than the Vercel access EVO-104 is about - it reports the value the RUNNING code saw, not the value the dashboard holds. Candidate for the named owner + 'last verified: <date>' repo-side record the unverifiable-state rule asks for. What this does NOT cover: with the 184 row now forceSynced, that specific row stops being an instrument. If someone wants the readback to keep working, it needs a deliberate unforced non-security info canary, not a side effect of a branch nobody meant to persist. Not filing that as work without a decision - raising it because the fix removed the detector that found the bug.

PTD PASS, Class-S. Live v2.23.138 matches the REMOTE package.json on main read at check time (gh api contents, not the local checkout); deploymentId moved dpl_FjFChRaqrLYM4VUdd8XMNpuqVVFm -> dpl_FC16kamTVdfwJWjtZg4CTJvJw58a at 10:23:54Z. Class-S bound: classifier + persist flag + tests only, no DB schema, no auth gate, no email-send path.
