MOOT - fleet retracted the nextUrlPresent-dead premise (pm-llmmsgsrv mqnd1yrk7ozk). next-url is UNVERIFIED not proven-dead: next-url INSIDE FLIGHT_HEADERS=[rsc,next-router-state-tree,next-router-prefetch,next-hmr-refresh,next-router-segment-prefetch] is FALSE - next-url is NOT in it, SURVIVES stripFlightHeaders; the curl-inject->false smoke was an invalid probe (platform doesn't propagate externally-injected next-url past SC boundary). NO field drop, NO comment rewrite (current 'next-url survives' is correct). Q3: nextUrlPresent INCONCLUSIVE, excluded from cross-app analysis until a live-browser RSC-nav / organic smoke resolves it. Pluto never implemented the drop - clean cancel.
-
REOPENED + REPURPOSED (fleet RULING pm-llmmsgsrv mqnd3mxxe9uk supersedes the withdrawn DROP). NOT a drop - KEEP nextUrlPresent (dormant boolean, no PII, zero cost). Scope = comment-fix ONLY, low-pri, rides the next not-found touch. Revisit-on-organic: when organic skewSuspected rows accumulate, true->restore-as-corroboration / uniformly-false-on-real-RSC->coordinated-drop.

STANDARDIZED comment text to apply verbatim (fleet-canonical, do not paraphrase): // nextUrlPresent: UNVERIFIED corroboration. next-url not in FLIGHT_HEADERS (survives stripFlightHeaders) but is Next-internal - curl can't probe it; only a real-browser RSC nav or organic traffic confirms whether it populates at the SC. Corroboration-only, NEVER gated. Revisit when organic skewSuspected rows accumulate: true -> restore as corroboration; uniformly-false on real RSC -> coordinated drop.

Done, v2.23.49 - but NOT the comment the WI specified, and the deviation is the point. The WI asked me to apply a fleet-canonical comment verbatim declaring nextUrlPresent "UNVERIFIED corroboration ... curl can't probe it; only a real-browser RSC nav or organic traffic confirms whether it populates at the SC." Two months of organic traffic have since accumulated, so I asked db-pluto-cc for the column instead of stamping the label. MEASURED (db-pluto-cc 2026-08-22): every one of the 12 rows in the entire 404 corpus carrying a NON-NULL clientBuildId logged nextUrlPresent=FALSE. Zero exceptions. Those 12 are genuine soft-navs by construction - only a client running our own bundle sends x-deployment-id - and include a 9-row authenticated admin session clicking through /admin/usuarios/<uuid> links. So the claim already in not-found-log.ts:60-64 ("Vercel edge strips next-url on external requests -> it logs FALSE even on a real soft-nav") is CONFIRMED with n=12, not unverified. Writing UNVERIFIED over a confirmed measurement would have made the comment less true than the one it replaced. Shipped: the confirmation with its sample size and its construction argument, and the standing "corroboration-only, NEVER gated" rule - now with a reason a future reader can act on (gating on it would drop every real soft-nav, since all 12 known-genuine ones are FALSE). SPUN OFF, not folded in: PLUTO-726. Exactly 7 rows corpus-wide are nextUrlPresent=TRUE, all one 6-minute burst on 2026-07-17, one authenticated user, and all 7 have clientBuildId NULL - the inverse pairing on both signals at once. Two models explain it in opposite directions and appEvents cannot separate them; recorded in the code comment as unexplained rather than argued away. Also spun off from the same read: PLUTO-725 (isSoftNav keys on sec-fetch-dest=empty, which any fetch() sets; 5 of 29 softNav rows confirmed to be a GraphQL scanner, so the real soft-nav denominator is 24 not 29). NOT EXERCISED: no live-browser probe was run - the 12-row confirmation is observational, drawn from traffic that already happened. It cannot distinguish "edge strips it" from "next-url never populates here for some other reason"; it establishes only that the value is FALSE on every genuine soft-nav we can identify, which is what the gating rule actually depends on.
