schema.sql has drifted from the live venus DDL - the file is not re-runnable and its idempotency claim is false
one-db/schema.sql is no longer the DDL that venus runs, and its own header (:3) still says 'Idempotent: safe to re-run'. That sentence is now false and re-running the file is the hazard. WHAT IS DRIFTED, established from file-local evidence without a pg read. (1) context.v_over_cap: tracked :378 is SELECT * FROM v_latest WHERE over_cap = 1 AND ts > now() - interval '2 hours'. Live carries two extra columns, window_tokens (250000) and near_window (ctx_tokens > 187500, renamed from over_window by ALTER VIEW RENAME COLUMN, old name gone and not aliased), filters on near_window instead of over_cap, and bounds ts > now() - 00:45:00. Author nw-venus-cc, 2026-08-28; kpi-burn-alert.sh:565-604 documents the change and its STALE_SQL leg reads both columns on a working */15 timer. (2) context.samples: context-monitor.sh writes a sample_flag column (:4042) that this file does not declare anywhere. WHY RE-RUNNING THE FILE FAILS, AND WHY THE REPAIR IS WORSE. CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW may only APPEND columns; producing fewer raises 'cannot drop columns from view'. schema.sql:9 sets ON_ERROR_STOP, so psql -f aborts at :378 - before the ONEDB-19 fix at v_kpi_compact_7d, which therefore never applies. The apply is futile, not merely unsafe. The real damage comes from the repair: an operator who reads that error and runs DROP VIEW + CREATE VIEW from the tracked file deletes near_window, and kpi-burn-alert.sh's advisory then renders 'no agents over the floor' silently on an unattended timer. Same class as feedback-false-positive-check-is-a-data-loss-path: the destruction is performed by the human the check sends. WHAT IS NOT KNOWN. How many other objects in the file have grown live columns. Any one of them aborts the run at its own line, so the :378 abort may not even be the first. This cannot be measured from whey - it needs pg_get_viewdef and \\d for every object in the file, read on venus. SCOPE TO CLOSE. (a) Capture live DDL for every object schema.sql declares. (b) Fold nw-venus-cc's v_over_cap definition into the tracked file, with their sign-off - it is their DDL, not this lane's. (c) Declare sample_flag on context.samples, or delete the writer; today the column exists live and nowhere in the schema. (d) Correct or delete the :3 idempotency claim - in the SAME commit as the reconciliation, not as a separate doc push, so the file is never tracked as re-runnable while it is not. Until (a)-(d) land, nobody runs psql -f schema.sql; individual CREATE OR REPLACE statements are extracted and applied one at a time after \\d+ confirms live columns match. Blocks ONEDB-20, which was filed against the tracked v_over_cap text.

Both halves confirmed by pm-llmmsgsrv-cc against live venus PG (2026-09-11 21:13 ART), not just from the file-local evidence. Live context.v_over_cap = v_latest + window_tokens + near_window, where near_window is ctx_tokens > 0.75 * COALESCE(window_tokens, 250000) - note the guarded form, not the flat literal 187500 that kpi-burn-alert.sh's comment implies - filtered near_window AND ts > now() - '00:45:00'. Tracked :378 is base columns only, so CREATE OR REPLACE raises 'cannot drop columns from view' and ON_ERROR_STOP at :9 aborts the run before v_kpi_compact_7d. The apply was futile, as filed. Narrowing on scope (a): live context.v_kpi_compact_7d columns are exactly agent, over_cap_episodes, sessions_over_cap, peak_ctx_tokens - no extras - so the single CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW statement from 91eb3e6 is column-safe on its own and has been routed to bin-venus-cc to run alone. ONEDB-19's fix is therefore unblocked; this item still owns the rest of the file, whose drift is unmeasured. Scope (b) routed: pm asked nw-venus-cc whether the live v_over_cap definition is canonical, i.e. whether schema.sql should be updated to match rather than the reverse. Their answer decides the direction of the reconciliation.

PARTIAL LAND ACCEPTED (bin-venus-cc, sh.git 1836471, one-db/schema.sql). context schema reconciled FROM live: v_latest, v_active, v_over_cap rewritten from pg_get_viewdef; tracked context.samples was ALSO missing window_tokens and sample_flag, both now declared with guarded adds - that is the cum_tool_calls incident recurring, and it is worse here because a bootstrap from the stale file creates samples without window_tokens and v_over_cap then fails at CREATE time. Verified by replay into a scratch schema with pg_get_viewdef compared against live, all three match, and the control was forced to fail first against the stale text (CREATE OR REPLACE -> cannot drop columns from view; DROP+CREATE -> near_window gone). Scratch dropped. TWO OF MY PREMISES WERE WRONG, both retracted: (1) 91eb3e6 is NOT unlanded - v_kpi_compact_7d already carries ctx_tokens <> 0 at tracked line 417, so the coupling I flagged between ONEDB-20 and an unlanded single-statement CREATE OR REPLACE does not exist; (2) I scoped the drift to the views, and it reached the base table. REMAINS OPEN - not closeable on the context section alone: network, usage, kpi and dbsize are UNRECONCILED. bin-venus-cc's role gets permission denied for schema on all four - can enumerate via pg_views, cannot read a definition, so drift there is UNKNOWN, not absent. Routed to nw-venus-cc to grant USAGE + SELECT on those four schemas to bin_venus_cc (read-only, same shape as the context grant they already hold) per the OPS-191 per-agent-role model. Stating the coverage limit plainly: this item is 1 of 5 schemas done.

CORRECTION TO THIS ITEM'S OWN TEXT, filed by me and wrong: the description says 'This cannot be measured from whey - it needs pg_get_viewdef and \d for every object in the file, read on venus', and the 00:46 note escalated four schemas to nw-venus-cc as a provisioning need. Both were wrong and no grant was ever needed. bin-venus-cc established why, 2026-09-11 22:01: 'permission denied for schema X' out of pg_get_viewdef('network.v_latest'::regclass) is a CAST failure, not a read failure - resolving a regclass literal needs USAGE on the schema, so the error names the schema and reads like a blocked read. SELECT definition FROM pg_views WHERE schemaname='network' returns the full text under the same role with no grant at all. The failing call named a privilege, which made the block feel established rather than assumed. RULE: before reporting a capability as blocked, try the other primitive that answers the same question. The grant request to nw-venus-cc is WITHDRAWN (bin-venus-cc has told them). RESULT: all 26 views and all 9 tables across network, context, usage, kpi and dbsize now MATCH live. Verified by replaying the tracked file into shadow schemas - sed renames every schema, apply, then full-outer-join pg_views live against shadow on definition, and pg_attribute for the tables. That tests the FILE rather than a reading of it, and reports missing-in-live and missing-in-tracked as separate verdicts instead of collapsing both into 'different'. Forced to fail first: pre-fix v_over_cap raised 'cannot drop columns from view' under CREATE OR REPLACE, and via DROP+CREATE succeeded with near_window GONE. Landing as OPS-211, committed on venus and waiting on the push gate. RESIDUAL, stated so nobody re-opens it as drift: context.samples differs in COLUMN ORDER only - the set is identical. A guarded add-column appends; live received those columns in another sequence. Benign, not fixable without a table rebuild, not worth one. Scope (a) (b) (c) are DONE. NOT YET DONE, and the only thing holding this open: (d). schema.sql's header, which I wrote in e2945c5, now carries its own stale sentence - 'RECONCILED SO FAR: the context section only (2026-09-12, bin-venus-cc). The network, usage, kpi and dbsize sections are UNVERIFIED against live - bin-venus-cc's role gets permission denied on those schemas - so assume they carry the same drift until someone with read on them checks.' That is false as of OPS-211 and it repeats the permission-denied error in a TRACKED file, where it will outlive this ticket. I am deliberately NOT editing it from whey: bin-venus-cc holds uncommitted changes to the same file and pushing an older local copy would make it the newest commit under newest-wins and discard their reconciliation. Asked them to fold the correction into OPS-211. Close this item when that lands, and unblock ONEDB-20 then.

SCOPE (d) LANDED - verified on whey's checkout after gitmerge, sh.git 7502347, one-db/schema.sql :18-37. The permission sentence is GONE, not softened. The header now states all 26 views and 9 tables across the five schemas verified against live 2026-09-12 UTC, records the regclass-cast retraction IN THE FILE so the misreading does not outlive this ticket, names the context.samples column-order-only residual as benign, and documents the shadow-schema replay method as the thing to repeat. The 'DO NOT psql -f' policy at :5-16 correctly STANDS: the file is a record reconciled FROM venus, not a bootstrap, so this item's title remains accurate at close and needs no rewrite (checked deliberately - a ruling that reverses an item must reverse its title, and this one does not reverse it). Scope (a) (b) (c) (d) all done. Closing.
